What you will do
- Statutory Reviews: Chair reviews for Looked After Children in line with legislative and statutory requirements.
- Care Planning Oversight: Ensure care plans are child-centred, outcome-focused, and compliant with statutory guidance.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the performance of services and local authority responsibilities towards children in care.
- Advocacy: Ensure the wishes, feelings, and views of children and young people remain central to all decision-making.
- Challenge and Escalation: Provide constructive challenge where delays, drift, or poor practice are identified, utilising dispute resolution processes where necessary.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong and effective working relationships with social workers, carers, families, and partner agencies.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely records of reviews, decisions, and recommendations.
- Service Improvement: Identify themes, share good practice, and contribute to the continuous improvement of Children's Services.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Social Work Qualification: Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
Salary range
- £42 per hour
