Job Description
Job Title: Home Manager - Learning Disability Care Home
Location: Clacton-on-Sea, Essex
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + Performance & Occupancy Bonuses
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:
Howard Finley Care are seeking an experienced and proactive Home Manager to lead a small, friendly Learning Disability home with a Good CQC rating. With support from external payroll and HR teams, you'll have the tools you need to focus on delivering high-quality, person-centered care in a stable and positive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
- Manage and mentor a dedicated team to meet the needs of each resident while promoting independence and choice.
- Build strong working relationships with the Essex/Colchester Local Authority, CQC inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and maintain their Good CQC rating.
- Drive performance and occupancy rates, with additional bonus opportunities tied to successful outcomes.
- Maintain and improve operational standards, including care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent) - essential.
- Previous experience managing a Learning Disability home preferred, or a strong management background with a willingness to transition into this field.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and proven experience liaising with Essex/Colchester Local Authority and CQC inspectors.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
