- Location: Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland
Pay Rate:- £16.00 per hour (Weekdays)
- £17.70 per hour (Waking Nights & Weekends)
- Day or Night Shift (12 hours)
- 08:00 - 20:00
- 20:00 - 08:00
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Spinal Injury Support Worker to join our team in Carrickfergus. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with spinal injuries, showing a strong understanding of their needs, and a positive, bubbly, and optimistic attitude. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of others.
You will work closely with a supportive team and be responsible for ensuring the client's care needs are met with dignity and respect. The client utilizes a mobile hoist and slide sheets, and your role will include providing a wide range of support to enhance their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with all aspects of care, including meal preparation and personalized routines to promote independence and wellbeing.
- Support daily living activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and personal care.
- Provide assistance with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Keep accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to relevant personnel.
- Ensure that all care is delivered with dignity, respect, and empathy.
- Offer emotional support, providing a listening ear and being a source of encouragement for the client.
- Care experience essential training provided .
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts as required.
- An enhanced DBS check and full training will be provided before beginning work with the client.
- Ongoing support from a clinical lead nurse in your area.
