Job Description

  • About The Role
    • Come Join Our Team!

      We have an excellent opportunity for a male support worker to work alongside our client in Bradford.

      Our client is a male with a brain injury, who would like assistance with planning, organising and budgeting, as well as a companion to support him with social access in the community and has a short term goal to get some work. There is no personal care involved within this role.
    • Due to the clients support needs and preference the successful candidate will be male and have previous brain injury or complex needs experience, hold a full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle.

      Pay: £16 per hour

      Hours: TBC

      Key Responsibilities:
      • Engaging with personalised routines inclusive of hoists.
      • Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
      • Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
      • Providing emotional support and companionship.
      • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions.
      • Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

      Requirements:
      • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
      • To be able to deal with challenging behaviours.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Flexibility to work the specified hours.

      Training & Background Checks:

      An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
