Job Description

Activities Coordinator - Residential Care Home

  • Location: High Wycombe
  • Salary: £13.00 per hour
  • Shifts: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Contract: 18 to 30 hours per week

Are you a passionate and creative individual looking to enhance the lives of elderly residents through meaningful engagement? We are seeking an Activities Coordinator to join our well-established residential care home in High Wycombe, which specialises in elderly and dementia care. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to develop and deliver an engaging activities programme that promotes physical, emotional, and social well-being.







Key Responsibilities:

?? Plan, organise, and implement a varied and engaging activities programme tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and needs
?? Encourage participation and social interaction to enhance residents' well-being and independence
?? Coordinate group activities, one-to-one sessions, and special events to create a stimulating and fulfilling environment
?? Arrange external entertainment, community involvement, and outings where appropriate
?? Work closely with care staff, families, and external organisations to support holistic person-centred care
?? Maintain accurate records and evaluations to ensure activities meet residents' needs and preferences
?? Promote inclusivity and a positive atmosphere within the home



What We're Looking For:

? Previous experience in activity coordination, lifestyle, or well-being roles within a care, community, or healthcare setting (preferred but not essential)
? A creative, enthusiastic, and compassionate approach to supporting older adults
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
? Strong organisational and time-management skills to plan and deliver a diverse activities schedule
? A genuine passion for elderly care, dementia support, and person-centred engagement
? The ability to adapt activities to meet residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
