We are seeking a highly skilled Social Worker Complex Needs Coordinator to join our Children in Need Service, Multi-Disciplinary Team in the picturesque location of St Martins, Guernsey . Key Responsibilities:

Caseload Management : Assess and manage a defined caseload, working towards positive changes and improved outcomes for children and families.

Crisis Intervention & Support : Coordinate intervention strategies and support services for families facing complex needs or crisis situations.

Legal Frameworks : Conduct thorough assessments in line with legal frameworks, providing tailored support to safeguard at-risk children.

Multi-Agency Collaboration : Collaborate with professionals across various sectors to provide holistic support to children and families.

Care Planning : Facilitate the development of care plans and support solutions, including working towards permanent placements for children when necessary.

Reporting & Legal Representation : Prepare comprehensive reports and represent the department in legal proceedings related to child protection matters.

Carer Relationships : Foster relationships with foster carers, kinship carers, and adopters, assessing their suitability for caring roles.

Mentorship : Mentor and support newly qualified social workers and students, sharing your expertise and promoting excellence in practice.

Empowerment : Promote personal strengths and social networks for individuals with complex needs, supporting them to lead fuller, more independent lives.
