- Location: Prenton, Birkenhead
Hours: 20-30 hours per week (flexible schedule in line with client needs)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our client, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
About the Client:
Our client is in his mid-30s who, despite brain and orthopaedic injuries, leads an active and social life. He is passionate about attending concerts, theatres, and various events and as a die-hard Liverpool fan, he loves going to home games and would enjoy sharing these experiences with a fellow supporter. His has a love for animals and shares his home with his dog and tarantulas, so being comfortable with pets is essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver personalized care and support to our client with complex health conditions.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication and monitor health conditions.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably brain injury and partially sighted clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Energetic, upbeat, and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work the specified hours.
- Valid UK driver's license.
- Supportive and friendly working environment.
