Social Worker - Learning Disabilities

Location: Havering, UK

Pay Rate: £32 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for you to work within the Learning Disabilities Team in Havering as a Locum Social Worker. This is a superb role offering £32 per hour on an ongoing basis. What you will do:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and develop personalised care plans.

- Collaborate with health and social care professionals to deliver coordinated services and achieve the best outcomes for service users.

- Address safeguarding issues and ensure the protection and support of vulnerable adults.

- Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Assessments as needed.

- Provide leadership and guidance to non-qualified staff, students, or apprentices within the team, sharing your expertise and enhancing team performance.

- Make effective use of available resources to meet the needs of clients, applying innovative solutions when necessary.

- Display flexibility by being available to work outside of standard office hours on occasion.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Hold a recognized social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.

- Have a minimum of three years' experience in social work, preferably within a community setting.

- Demonstrated ability to complete assessments and develop robust support plans.

- Competent in IT systems and electronic record-keeping.

- Committed to ongoing professional development and social justice.
