ABOUT THE SUPPORT COACH ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Coach to join our team and play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society. Our service provides accommodation and support for up to 11 residents who are homeless or rough sleepers, many of whom face challenges such as substance misuse and mental health issues. Residents typically stay with us for around two years, during which we support them to improve their quality of life, access treatment programs, and secure stable housing. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals, including those experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping, and challenges such as substance misuse and mental health issues.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 09:00-05:00. Flexible working - Some evenings may be required, no work from home.

Salary: £23,800

Location: Kent / Medway Area

What are we looking for from a Support Coach?

  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs, such as homelessness, substance misuse, or mental health challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Supporting residents with daily living skills, including personal care, cleaning, shopping, and maintaining a safe and welcoming home environment.
  • Assisting residents in accessing housing benefits, drug and alcohol programs, and other support services to aid their reintegration into society.
  • Developing and implementing individual support plans, risk assessments, and reviews in collaboration with residents and professionals.
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed and maintaining high standards of property management.
