What you will do:

* Undertake assessments and provide social work services to users and carers as required by the council's statutory duties and powers.

* Ensure alignment with local government guidelines and make appropriate use of resources available within the Group and independently.

* Participate actively in the duty team rota, handling contacts, referrals, and carrying out section 47 enquiries and child and family assessments.

* Progress cases within the service efficiently, ensuring the safety of the most vulnerable children and leveraging up-to-date research for all interventions.

* Lead care proceedings and represent the Local Authority at court, ensuring best practices are upheld.
